ADM-Ag20PE Antibacterial Masterbatch

ADM-Ag20PE is a PE-carrier antibacterial masterbatch loaded with 20% IONPURE inorganic silver ion antibacterial agent as the active ingredient. It is mainly used to protect plastic articles from erosion by bacteria and other microorganisms, and endow plastic surfaces with persistent antibacterial activity.

The active ingredient of ADM-Ag20PE releases silver ions slowly. Since bacterial cell surfaces carry negative charges, positively charged silver ions will be adsorbed onto bacteria, disrupting their electrolyte balance and damaging cell walls to cause bacterial death. Meanwhile, silver ions penetrate into bacterial cells, chemically react with intracellular enzymes, suppress enzyme activity and block bacterial reproduction, thereby achieving thorough bactericidal effects.

The required concentration of antibacterial masterbatch varies depending on multiple factors, including substrate susceptibility to microbial degradation, degree of microbial exposure, types of microorganisms, pH value, temperature, humidity, and required service life of antibacterial protection.
